damn Yankees

So Victoria day long weekend. Insane on the hill!!!!!! tons of visitors. We run out of tickets at 10:30 for the whole day. 99% of people understand and finds something else to do- there is tons to do in ottawa. The other few people are jerks, complain, insist, and bitch. I find these people entertaining- 2 quick stories

- lots of people saying "but i dorve all the way from toronto" HAHAHA well go talk to the people who were super pleasant i just turned away who are from brazil. sheish

- AMerican guy who told me that because he couldnt get into parliament- he lost his love for our country------must have been a fragile love.

I have seen the light--suburbs suck.

So, living in a central location for 2 weeks now has proven kevin right. Suburbs suck. Being central, i can get almost anywheres in a 15 minute walk or less. Work, grocery, mall, banks. library, bus stops. etc etc etc. It is so nice not having to depend on car to get around. If i wan to go anywhere, i can just start walking, it is saaaweeeeet. I also mut say it is nice to have the nightlife so close as well. The market, as well as havin lots o fresh veggies, offers tons of pubs and clubs. There are probably 15-20 bars within a 3 block radius. Not just dance bars, but lots of pubs as well, which i prefer. The nightlife here offers a little bit of everything for anyone and so far i really like it. Like a dance bar with an arcade in it--so much fun.
It sure is going to be tough to depend on fossil fuels again once i get back into the city of winnipeg.

AHHHHH- a post

SO people, it has been a lonnnnnggg time since the last post and i am doin well. Ottawa is so far amazing!!!!!!!! I won't write to long, but a few things to note.

1. I need to learn to cook. good/cheap recipes would be much appreciated(kevin-you had some good ones) so far the diet consists of cereal for breakfast, sandwhiches for lunch and well----spaghetti for dinner- i need more variety.

2. The apartment. The apartment is cool. 2 super cool roomates- partied with one of them this weekend which was awesome times. They are both super laid back and relaxed and not anal about much. The apartment itself is a nice size, and is great except for the super duper stinky storage room. I mean---VILE smell!!! This is what happens when we allow hockey bags to sit unwashed for 3 months.

3. Holy exciting times on parliament batman. It is so amazing to check out the activity of politicians and media alike these days. It is a zoo. Protesters everywhere, and all this added to the nomal insanity of parliament with visitors and such. It is great to be among the buzz.

Basically so far the summer ( a week and a bit in) is amazing, more than i could have imagined!!!
