budget predictions.

The big one was correct, no election coming up for awhile. That makes me happy. I do not want an election called until at least may 20th.

Budget 2008

Predictions:

Very modest with a couple nuggets of spending (probably environment) to keep the electorate happy.
Re-announcing the tax cuts (boring)
Re-announicng how mucht he debt will be paid by this year(boring)
Liberals will denounce the budget but say there is not enough in it to merit an election.

Let's wait and see.

On the envrionment- List

Tax gas through the nose. Put extra money into public transportation.
Offer huge incentives to car companies to develop hydrogen technology.
Pour money into the development of carbon capturing materials.
Ban plastic bags in stores.
Push ahead the date to convert all lightbulbs to fluorescant.
DO not participate in carbon credit trading......it wastes money that could be spent on actually reducing it.
Encourage the develop^ment of bicycle paths in all cities.
Look into the London method of charging people to drive downtown.

Well it has been a year.

And I choose now to repost, I feel I have a lot to say and know I will not keep a handwritten journal, so here it is.

I will start with some fluff.

February 14th, 2008, a very cool day in my life. I had the opportunity to sing with my quartet, Motivation and deliver singing valentines to unsuspecting recipients. It was truly a blast with many highlights including:
- Singing to a prof in class in front of her students.
-Getting entire offices to come out and see their colleagues getting embarrassed.
- Singing to a group of 30 or so seniors at the metropolitan Bible church.
- Singing at the Bistro 115 restaurant and getting all the tables involved and excited about it.
- Surprising a few friends of the choir in hospitals with songs and large novelty cards.
-Opening up the 6 o'clock news.

These are just a few of the many highlights of the day.
