New years resolutions

Generally new years resolutions don't work. SO, i am going to come up with a plan instead, a plan of easy things to do, that may possibly help reach higher goals. It will start with the list of 6 do's. I will post them and my final resolution tomorrow. Hopefully, i iwll follow it this year....not likely though.

Scavenger Hunt

So Scavenger hunt was today. SO much fun. Cops at donut shops....not a stereotype, the truth!!!! Geoff and I are already brainstorming for next year and how we want to do things differently. It was great, but there can always be improvements. The point system was ridiculous, but oh well. Ended up watching Napolean dynamite for the 3rd time. What a great movie. I'll post tomorrow when i'm not exhausted.

ow

So i'm horribly out of shape, and playing both a sponge hockey game and ultimate game has effectively made my legs feel like I ran a hundred miles today. Well maybe only a couple- but jebus. Anyways, I haven't written in here in a good while. The staff party was a good time. I won a soccer ball. WOOT! Saturday at work was a little rough to say the least.

Now here's something to think about. Grudges. Sheila and i were talking at work and came up with the theory that males are almost incapable of holding a grudge- at least not as long or as well as females. Guys will beat the crap out of each other then go have a beer together and a party. Girls on the other hand, tend to remember things much longer and hold on to that. Maybe women are just smarter and have better memories. But hey, it keeps life interesting.

Shitty Group Projects

So this term is officially named the term of the shitty group projects.

One got all truned around early on , we never recovered, plus we had a free-rider who when we marked accordingly, sent out the most insulting email i have ever received which seems to be inciting an all out war between some members- it ain't pretty.

Another one, was only worth 12% but was a crapload of work- way more than 12% is worth. But I'm very happy with it and that's all that matter now i guess.

My third group project was one that was misguided by the prof- due tomorrow- and well, we have a long way to go yet. It will get done, if i have to come at 7 tomorrow and finish it myself.

I think i learned a thing or 2 about group dynamics though. So i guess that is what i will have to take out of this term.

Obstacles to THE IDEA

Here's my list of obstacles to my IDEA that i posted earlier.

1) financial feasability- sponsorship etc etc ( recording and pressing costs a shitload)
2) Logistics ( musicians are crazy and organizing that many bands- holy crap)
3) Distribution- would anyone do it
4) could we sell enough copies to make it worthwhile?
5) Would I be able to assemble a large and competent enough team to pull it off
6) legally speaking- would have to make sure all christmas songs used are traditional enough or old enough to be public domain

I'm going to talk to some people about the feasibility of this and we shall see if these obstacles can be overcome.

I sure did write this as I should be writing a marketing research paper, meh.

The Idea

This Idea is kinda crazy, may not be possible, may be way too much work. But ideas can become good ideas, which can then become plans, which can tehn become action. So without the Idea, there is no possible action.

SO here it goes: The idea is to get a CD of local bands playing christmas music out by next christmas, sell it for 5$ and donate all proceeds to christmas cheer board. The idea would be to get a sponsor to distribute them and either a ton of little sponsors or another huge one to pay for things like pressing. There are a bazillion obstacles and challenges but it's an idea. More on this later.

Heya guys

This is for everyone to read, I'll have fun stuff to say hopefully.for now this is just setting it up, but i'll post soon!
